Five+Five Cyprus 2016
8/10/2016 - The first five days ended in the picturesque Cyprus

Under the Cyprus sunshine, the first five days ended and a new generation came out on top: the overall winners in W/M21 were Rikke Blakkestad Ingesen and Kasper Fosser, both from Norway. About 320 participants representing 17 countries are taking part at the Five + Five Days Orienteering Cyprus 2016. The pioneer spirit of PWT allowed us to create 8 new orienteering maps and this will greatly help the development of our sport on the Cypriot Island. Five + Five Days Orienteering Cyprus is organised in cooperation with the local partner KOMOAAP. The five areas involved in the first week were: the forest of Mathiatis Village, the village of Palaichori with its picturesque narrow streets, Athalassa Forest Park, Nicosia historical centre and the amazing forest of Cape Gkreco. One of the most significant things has been the participation of 22 deaf orienteers, in two big groups from Italy and Russia. This means that orienteering is a perfect sport for integration between deaf and hearing people and PWT is very proud of this. Here are the winners of the first week: http://www.orienteering.it/public/results/n061016_132306.pdf
