Five Days Puglia 2014
23/06/2014 - Certificato medico - promemoria

Since 2013, in order to participate to sport events in Italy, each non Italian athlete must fill a health certificate to state that their health and physical conditions are as to permit running orienteering at a competitive or non-competitive level. This certificate is also needed for the Five + five days 2014 – second week in Puglia. As mentioned before, all non-Italian athletes must provide an original medical certificate stating that their health and physical conditions are at such level that they can attend to orienteering competition either on competitive or non-competitive level. It is also important to know that the certificate can’t be older than 1 year and it must not expire before the end of the competition. A model of the medical certificate can be found at this link http://www.orienteering.it/public/bulletin/eng_n111113_162350.pdf. The certificate needs to be signed and stamped by your local doctor. The certificate must state that you are in perfect condition to attend to orienteering competition and approved (signed) by your doctor. You can send your certificate to us via email to info@orienteering.it before coming to Italy. The other option is to bring the certificate to the event office when you are picking up your bip-number. If you already used your medical certificate in a previous sport event in Italy, and it is still valid, you can re-use it: please re-send it to the organizers. THIS IS NOT DUE THE ORGANISERS OF FIVE DAYS, THIS IS A MATTER OF ITALIAN LAW, WHICH IS VERY STRICK ON MATTER OF HEALTH AND THEREFORE THE ORGANISATION CANNOT ALLOW PARTICIPATION WITHOUT THE REQUIRED CERTIFICATION. The organisers of Five days hope that this doesn’t cause you any inconveniences and want to thank you for your co-operation in this matter. Hope to see all of you in 2014 in Puglia! Follow the sun!
