28/06/2010 - FIVE DAYS PUGLIA 2010: finnish cartographers at work in these days

 

The preparations for the great international date of Orienteering in Gargano Puglia continue, five days in stages of early October, now in its third edition. We already have 200 entries received up to now representing nine countries (Great Britain, Switzerland, Austria, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Czech and Hungary), with the entry of Norway with 76 subscribers. The event organized by asd Park World Tour Italy in collaboration with the Apt Foggia and administrations of Vico del Gargano, Rodi Garganico, Peschici, Ischitella has now reached the objective of facilitating the internationalization of sport from Northern Europe with streams of tourists in periods of low season. These days the Finnish cartographer Markku Joensuu will be in Gargano in order to do the cartographic survey of city centres of Ischitella and Rodi Garganico and revision of Vico del Gargano, Peschici. A great week of celebration and sport for all. the technical concept with the organisation is contining promoting international FIVE DAYS PUGLIA Gargano and in large Scandinavian mass events. Just ended our presence in Finland at the Jukola, from 24 to 30 July, the stand of Five Days Puglia orienteering will be present in Sweden in Orebro in occasion of ORIGEN, Swedish orienteering race with over 15,000 participants and eighty thousand spectators. Also continues the advertising of the brand Gargano on suits of Finnish national orientation race, with the hope that Minna Kauppi can conquer the sixth title in the forthcoming World Championships to be held in Trondheim (Norway) from 8th to 15th August.
