The meetings, the conferences and the technical works for the best success of MOC - Mediterranean Open Championship Orienteering are continuing. Last week the President of Park World Tour Association, Mr Gabriele Viale, visited Agropoli for the meetings with the municipalities, in order to arrange the race arenas and the technical coordination, together with the Orienteering club of Agropoli. The cartographs are already working on the maps, and at the end of October Mr Bernt Bjørnsgaard will be on site to see and check the cartography for the MOC. The pioneer spirit of Park World Tour for the development and the introduction of Orienteering in new areas will permit to organize the first orienteering competition ever in the extraordinary Island of Ischia. You can admire this beautiful Island from the Sorrento coast, next to Naples gulf. “Where the sea sparkles” is the translation of the worldwide famous song's title: “Caruso/Qui dove il mare luccica”, written by Lucio Dalla in Sorrento. Indeed, he stayed in the same room where the tenor Caruso was hosted. Enrico Caruso, born in Naples 1873- dead 1921, was an Italian operatic tenor, worldwide know, with an exceptionally beautiful voice, he was the first singer to record on a disc!
