The World Cup is one of the most eagerly awaited events of the international orienteering season: this year the first round will be held in Idre Fjäll, Sweden, from 18th to 22nd June. Participants include more than 300 athletes from 30 different nations. It is time to break the ice and start the season.
Three athletes from PWT Italy will wear the blue jersey: Jessica Lucchetta, Sebastian Inderst, Mattia Debertolis. For them, this will be an important opportunity to compare themselves with the best orienteers in the world and gain experience at international level, as well as to test the fruits of their winter training.
The particularly intense programme includes four days of competitions in the woods, divided as follows:
- 18 June, qualification for the long
- 19 June, long distance
- 21 June, middle
- 22 June, relay
The races will be televised in Norway, Sweden, France and Estonia, and available in live streaming on the official IOF website with real-time results.
