Extraordinary victory for Italy with Caterina Dallera
The first stage of the 21st edition of the MOC – Mediterranean Orienteering Championship, organised by Park World Tour Italia and held today on the shores of Lake Garda, was dominated by Italy and Belgium. Almost 200 competitors representing 16 countries battled it out with map and compass in the historic centre of the town of the same name, competing on four courses artfully designed by course planner Svetlana Mironova.
The winner in the men’s field was Yannick Michiels, sprint distance specialist and IOF (International Orienteering Federation) “Athlete of the Year” for 2025. In the women’s field, PWT Italia enjoyed Italian success with Caterina Dallera taking the victory and her teammate Jessica Lucchetta joining her on the podium.
