Art meets the great orienteering race: Roberto Ziranu designs the trophies for 5+5 Sardinia 2026
We are proud to announce an extraordinary collaboration between PWT Italia and the acclaimed artist Roberto Ziranu, who will add unique, prestigious works to the upcoming two weeks of racing at 5+5 Sardinia 2026.
An artist’s prize pool
The podiums of this double event will be enriched by exclusive creations signed by Ziranu:
- 4 art trophies, awarded to the overall winners of the Elite categories (men’s and women’s) at the end of each of the two race weeks;
- additional stage prizes, also signed by the artist, which will reward the winners of each daily stage.
A recognition that brings together the athletic effort and tactical precision of orienteering with the value of a work of art crafted specifically for this event.
The master of iron: Roberto Ziranu
Internationally recognized, Roberto Ziranu is an artist capable of transforming iron into light, lightness, and movement. Deeply connected to the roots of his homeland, Sardinia, he shapes and “paints” metal using only fire and engraving, creating inimitable reflections and colour effects. His sculptures are not mere objects, but stories of passion and dedication.
