Training camp with the swedish and finnish national teams From January 6 to 15, four Park World Tour Italia athletes took part in the Barbate training camp together with the Swedish and Finnish national teams, two of the strongest programs on the international scene. Today, Monday 5th of January, in Tonadico, in the Primiero Valley, the athletes of the Park World Tour Italia gathered for the official kick-off of the 2026 season. The day began with a moment of remembrance at the Tonadico cemetery, where Mattia Debertolis, a teammate who passed away prematurely last August, is laid to rest. Exciting weekend at the 2025 Italian Sprint and Sprint Relay Championships Over the weekend, the athletes of Park World Tour Italy were the protagonists at the Italian Sprint and Sprint Relay Championships, held in Chioggia (Saturday) and Mirano (Sunday), respectively. These races were among the main goals of the season, and the team worked together to arrive at their best. The second part of the season begins, and Park World Tour Italy sets out towards new goals. At the Italian Championships, the elite women win the title. Bronze instead for the men’s team. On the weekend of September 13–14, the athletes of PWT Italia competed in Lagdei, in the Parma Apennines, taking part in the Italian Relay and Long Championships. Saturday 13th, it was relay day. In Belgium, four PWT Italia athletes lined up for the European Championships. Among them, Mattia should have been there too. The European Orienteering Sprint Championships in Hasselt, Belgium, were a whirlwind of emotions, adrenaline, and unexpected turns. The races, demanding not only physically but especially technically, truly tested even the strongest athletes, shaking up the rankings; new, young, and promising runners managed to make their mark on the international stage. In Mechelen, Belgium, a real taste of international competition: over the weekend of August 2-3, the test races for the upcoming European Orienteering Championships took place. This year’s edition, focused on sprint disciplines, will be held in Hasselt from August 27 to 31. The races, which saw strong international participation, served as a useful preview of what’s to come in a few weeks.
