MOC Weekend 2019
Fri 22nd March: Stage 1 – Ascea, first start 15.30, sprint in city centre.
Ascea is an ancient town grown during medieval Age, and it lies inside the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano. Arrival on the beach!
Sat 23rd March: Stage 2 – Paestum, first start 10.30, sprint/middle in Archeological
Park.
Paestum has 2500 years of history, as the first temple of Hera was
built by greeks around 550 BC. Abandoned and forgotten around 1100 AD, it was rediscovered in around 1750 and it is now one of the best preserved archeological parks in Europe. Run through history!
Sun 24th March: Stage 3 – Benevento, first start 10.00, sprint in city centre.
Benevento, a town founded around VIII and VII centuries BC, then
conquered by Romans, is today a spectacular city with UNESCO sites such as Santa Sofia church, with 60.000 inhabitants.
Many styles distinguish this city: roman, medieval, baroque and modern. Let yourself be charmed!
