Our best Wishes of a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year


Dear Orienteerists,
we are at the end of one year that we wish has been for all positive and rich of satisfactions for all our members. For us there is always so much motivation to promote this sport and these are the events we are preparing for you:
- For 2010 we are strongly committed to organize the 6th edition of the MOC Championship: today we have over 200 subscriptions and the presence of the number one Simone Nigli Luder e Daniel Hubmann, is a confirmation of the great competitive excellence of the MOC 2010.
Besides the prestigious national Team of Switzerland, a representative of Finland is already enrolled. To end this event on Sunday 28th February we are organising a great final MOC Party, with a typical pugliese product tasting (Black of Sow, Negroamaro, Willow Salentino) and accompanied by the performance live of Nick Manfredi.
- Meaningful it is then our cooperation with MOC TOUR and PWT Travel. We will depart from Israel, visiting Palestine, Jordan and to conclude in South Italy.
- In April the Nordic Walking Orienteering will be a novelty that will run from the sea to the Forest Umbra: two excursions of around 25 km with intermediary points in the characteristic historical centers of Gargano.
- Another great novelty for the 2010 will be the project in Calabria: thanks to the collaboration with Jorgen Martensson we will present two important moments: in May a week of meetings and formation in the schools and the local institutions and for September the organization of a 4 days in Calabria.
- The 3rd edition of the 5 Days of Puglia, from 4th to October 8th , on the Gargano and the new 4 Days Mediterranean will offer you the possibility to live the emotion of a true summer vacation at the seaside and to lodge in two beautiful structures thanks to the favor of the good time with an average temperature around 20°-22°C.
- We will close our organizational appointments with the traditional Adriatic Meeting that will cover San Marino(PWT)- Rimini -Venice.
- Other novelty concerns our website that from now on will offer the possibility to register on-line for the races in the section LOGISTICS. It is possible to book also the accomodation at advantageous prices in our structures thanks to the collaboration with our technical partner “Paloma Viaggi and Tourism” that will take care of the incoming.
To conclude a personal postscript: this year has also been the 50° birthday of Jorgen Martensson a friend of life to which I am very grateful for the great motivation and the inspiration he gave me in the mission to promote the sport of the orienteering in the world. On my behalf, of Nick Manfredi and of all our "great Team" our best Wishes of a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
