At the opening round of the 2025 Orienteering World Cup in Idre Fjäll, Sweden, Gabriele Viale, team manager of Park World Tour Italia, was officially invited as one of the event’s VIP guests.

This invitation, extended from one of the leading countries in the orienteering world, represents a meaningful recognition of the long-standing commitment and international credibility of the PWT Italia project. Among the other guests in the VIP hospitality area were key figures such as Tom Hollowell, President of the International Orienteering Federation (IOF), and Henrik Eliasson, IOF CEO, as well as major sponsors and high-level representatives from across Swedish sport—not only from orienteering.

Being included among the VIP guests is a great personal reward and a recognition of more than thirty years of dedication to promoting orienteering,” said Viale. “It’s especially meaningful coming from Sweden, where they clearly acknowledge the work we’ve done in spreading the sport, particularly in the Mediterranean area. It’s also a tribute to what PWT Italia has done over the years to promote orienteering and support athletes.

Beyond the symbolic value, the event offered an important opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and build relationships across the international orienteering community. “These moments are key to discussing the future of our sport with international leaders and enjoying the competition from a dedicated hospitality area with a privileged view of the event.

Viale proudly dedicated the recognition to the entire team: “Representing PWT Italia in this context is an honor. This invitation sends a clear message: internationally, there is real respect and appreciation for the work we do. I share this recognition with all our members—because we are a great team.
