PWT Italia took to the field in a weekend full of excitement and top-level competitions.
The Feat in Sweden at Tiomila Let’s start with the international stage and the unmissable Tiomila in Sweden, the famous 10-leg relay that represents a true club world championship, as well as one of the most attended orienteering events in the world. Our Captain Sebastian Inderst, who has lived in Gothenburg for years, shone with his Swedish team (Göteborg-Majorna OK), claiming an excellent 5th place overall. During his leg, Sebastian recovered two positions, bringing the team from 18th to 16th place at the handover.
An extraordinary result that makes us very proud: before him, only one other PWT Italia athlete had managed to reach the prestigious wide podium at Tiomila (Riccardo Scalet, 3rd in 2019 with Halden SK). Our heartfelt congratulations go to Sebastian, along with a special thanks for his dedication to the team’s colors: instead of resting after the fatigue of the race, at 5 AM he was already out distributing flyers for our events!

Coppa Italia Races in Piedmont Returning to Italy, our athletes were the protagonists of a long racing weekend in the province of Cuneo. The schedule featured a Long race on Friday, a Sprint on Saturday, and the Italian Middle Distance Championship closing out Sunday. Defending the colors of Park World Tour Italia were Fabio Amadesi, Jessica Lucchetta, Guenda Zaffanella, Celeste Pretto, Katiuscia Sibiglia, and Pierantonio Pretto.
Here is the weekend recap straight from the words of our Elite athletes:
- Fabio Amadesi: “It was a weekend with forest races a bit out of my current comfort zone, since my main focus right now is on Sprint competitions. Friday was a true test of survival with a total of 20 km. Saturday went well instead, I ran my race and I am quite satisfied despite a few minor mistakes. On Sunday I felt in great shape: without a 5-minute mistake, I would have managed to reach the wide podium. All things considered, a positive weekend.”
- Jessica Lucchetta: “At the moment I am focusing on the Sprints, with the big goal of the World Championships in Genoa. However, I wanted to participate this weekend to have my say in the forest too, as these were selection races for the second half of the season. I am very satisfied with the 3rd place in Friday’s Long distance: a tough race, finished in 1h 45′, which gives me great motivation for the summer. On Saturday I ran a solid race, finishing with an excellent 2nd place despite some inaccuracies. Sunday’s Middle was a bit more disappointing due to some mistakes, but it reflects the fact that right now I do not have specific preparation for the forest and for technical races like this one. Overall, I am bringing home a good weekend.”
