Official inauguration of the team’s new headquarters and announcement of the partnership with Visit Paganella Tourism Board

Fai della Paganella (TN), October 24, 2025 – The new operational headquarters of Park World Tour Italy (PWT Italy) was officially inaugurated today in the municipality of Fai della Paganella.
The event also marked the announcement of the new partnership with Visit Paganella Tourism Board, crowning a long-standing relationship of collaboration and friendship that began years ago through international orienteering events hosted in the area.

The press conference took place at the new PWT Italy headquarters in Fai della Paganella, attended by local authorities, representatives of the tourism board, and several members of the team.

Mariavittoria Mottes, Mayor of Fai della Paganella, stated:

“The relationship between our territory, orienteering, and PWT Italy dates back to before the Covid pandemic, so it is a well-established bond.
We are happy to support PWT Italy in this phase of growth. This journey with orienteering began years ago; it is a project we strongly believe in. We look to the future — and in this, orienteering teaches us: to overcome obstacles, to choose our path wisely, and to keep moving forward.”

The mayor highlighted how the community of Fai has built, over the years, a solid relationship of trust and collaboration with the team — even in difficult times — with a reference to the recent tragedy involving athlete Mattia Debertolis.

Michele Viola, President of Visit Paganella Tourism Board, emphasized:

“My connection with orienteering is first and foremost one of friendship. From the very beginning, there has been a strong sense of cooperation and shared vision, and things have always worked smoothly.
The 5 Days 2021, right after Covid, gave us the push to start again — to return to sport stronger and more determined than before.
For us, this moment, which officially recognizes Paganella as the home of such a prestigious team, is a great source of pride.
Sport for young people, immersed in nature, is a value we deeply believe in and want to keep promoting. We see it as a bridge to the future — one to build with strength, will, and enthusiasm.”

Viola underlined how this official partnership represents the natural evolution of an already strong and fruitful collaboration, based on shared values and a common goal: promoting the region through sport.

Gabriele Viale, Team Manager of Park World Tour Italy, added:

“I would like to sincerely thank the Fai municipality and the Tourism Board for their warm hospitality. We have just come from the Italian Championships, a very successful weekend for the entire team.
We were also joined by Tove Alexandersson, one of the leading figures in world orienteering — her presence is a sign of the international spirit that defines and honors us.
The first major event organized here, the 5 Days 2021, was the first after Covid — an exceptional occasion that brought hope and new energy. Since then, we have developed orienteering facilities with maps and permanent courses, creating an area that can host activities throughout the year.
Our goal is to make Paganella a reference point for training camps and practice sessions for foreign clubs, especially Scandinavian and Swiss teams, generating positive benefits for the local area.
We also plan to involve local schools to develop a youth program that will represent the future of our sport.
In our communication and official materials, we will proudly feature the Visit Paganella brand — visible on headbands, neck warmers, and official team vests.”

A symbolic moment for the territory

The conference concluded with the symbolic handover of the key to the new PWT Italy headquarters, in the presence of local authorities. The gesture marked the beginning of a new chapter for both the team and the region — one defined by sporting growth, collaboration, and the enhancement of Trentino’s mountains as an international destination for orienteering.
