ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Marco, born in 2004, and I am a Computer Science student at Bicocca University. I’ve been surrounded by orienteering ever since I was born, as I come from a family of orienteers, but it was only at the age of 11 that I truly decided to start running on my own. From that moment on—and for the past 10 years—I have dedicated a great part of myself to this vibrant sport.
Over these years, my biggest dream has always been to reach an international podium wearing the Italian jersey. I’ve come very close to achieving it, and I still hope that one day this dream will come true. This year, I became part of the PWT team, and I can’t wait to race proudly in my new jersey!
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
- 7th place, EYOC Sprint 2022, Salgótarján
- 7× Italian Champion
- PB 3000m: 9’05” (Gemona 2024) – PB 10km: 33’37” (Monza 2023)
- Selected, still a junior, for EOC 2023 and WC Italy 2024 (missed due to injury)
- Selected for all possible international youth events since the age of 15 (2019)
